Fernando is our Academic Director and master teacher. He develops our course materials and advises our teachers. Fernando is one of those rare teachers who lives and breathes to teach Ecuadorian culture and Spanish. He studied literature at the Universidad Central de Quito, is certified to teach the highest level of Spanish (IE), and has been teaching Spanish since 1989. In his free time, Fernando loves to play fútbol and is part of a folkloristic music and dance group. On Fridays, he shares his love for music with the school as everybody sings and dances together. He also practices Shamanism, a traditional religion of Ecuador.
