Trekking in Quilotoa
The Quilotoa is a beautiful lagoon that formed in the crater of a nonactive volcano. From the top rim, you have a beautiful view on the surrounding mountain tops and the colorful lake. Its water even changes color depending on the light: from bright blue to green.
At the Quilotoa, there are a few different hikes offered, from just an hour to a multiple-days trip. Each of them offers incredible sights and nature in its own way. But remember to bring warm clothes that are both water and wind resistant, as it is often quite windy and cold up in the mountains.
